 Through & Section Paddler Recognition Through and Section Paddler Recognition Let's start with some definitions of our recognition categories: 1. Through Paddlers paddle the entire Trail as one expedition, during a single season. 2. Section Paddlers paddle the entire Trail as a series of two or more expeditions, over the course of multiple paddle seasons. Please note that while we certainly will cheer section paddlers along the way and over the years, we will only be able to confer recognition upon completion of the entire Trail. We look forward to celebrating both Through and Section paddlers for your hardiness, your tenacity, and your enthusiasm for the Trail! Recognized through and section paddlers will receive a certificate from NFCT and be added to The NFCT List on our website. What to do to be recognized as a through or section paddler: 1. When you have completed the entire Trail, download the NFCT Paddler Recognition Application and fill it out completely and legibly. If you are in the process of section-paddling, you can use this Section Paddler Report to keep track of your trips and communicate your observations of the Trail to us. 2. Copy your paddling journal, print out or save your blog to a disk, or type up a summary of you're trip. We're interested in where you camped, who you interacted with, etc. Please inform and entertain us! We welcome your pictures as well, preferably in digital format. 3. Mail application, journal, and images / disk with images to: Northern Forest Canoe Trail Paddler Recognition,PO Box 565, Waitsfield, VT 05673 We hope you'll feel that the challenge was in the paddling, not in the process of gaining recognition!
