Waterway Work Trips
Summer 2008 NFCT Waterway Work Trips
All work trips have a $50 per person fee to cover food (we eat well!) and project expenses. Paddlers bring their own camping and paddling gear. We can help connect you to an outfitter if you need to rent any gear.
July 18-20: Franklin Falls Pond, New York - We'll be transporting and planting saplings to revegetate heavily-used water-access campsites. Two overnights, primitive camping, lake paddling. Register.
July 25-27: Missisquoi River, Vermont - We'll improve a paddler access and a campsite, and paddle the upper Missisquoi as we do so. Two overnights, primitive camping, river paddling. Register.
August 1-3: Upper Ammonoosuc River, New Hampshire - We'll improve a primitive campsite and paddler access in Groveton. We'll take breaks to run sections of the Upper Ammonoosuc and Connecticut rivers, but paddling is not necessary to access the work site. Two overnights, primitive camping, optional river paddling. Register.
August 8-10: Moosehead Lake, Maine - We'll build up to three new island campsites. Two overnights, primitive camping, lake paddling. Register.
